Al Khozama Center, designed by Kenzo Tange, features a powerful Brutalist architectural language defined by monumental massing, stepped cantilevered slabs, and a dramatic central void carved between two solid wings. Inside, a full-height atrium reduces the mass of the heavy envelope, allowing natural light to penetrate deep into the structure and creating a welcome sense of orientation. From the exterior, the building reads as a single geometric gesture, inclined and terraced, with deep horizontal bands and recessed openings that emphasize weight and depth. These photographs were taken between 2012 and 2013 during a brief architectural documentation. The building was demolished in 2018.
