Skanderbeg Building, officially known as Tirana’s Rock, reimagines the tower as a habitable monument. Designed by MVRDV, the building is shaped through continuous curving balconies that subtly form the profile of Gjergj Kastrioti Skanderbeg, the 15th-century Albanian leader and national hero, remembered for uniting Albanian forces and resisting the Ottoman Empire.
The result is a building that connects contemporary urban life with national memory, creating a sculptural presence at the edge of Skanderbeg Square.
